Afraid of the future

If this video is any indication of how our girl, Julia, will spend her time, I am afraid of the phone bills we will have.

Weekend chores

We like to put kids to work early in our house. Lucky for us, Julia is really into sweeping with the broom and dustpan lately.

Bath time

Or, as we in the Diehl house like to call time for bubbles. It's a pretty standard routine. Dinner. Play. Change clothes. Go potty. Get in the tub. Tonight, there was a little extra lag time between potty and tub. And what better thing to do, than play with the door, naked. And then, of course, ask Bella to get in the tub too. She could stand a bath. But considering that dog walks around puddles so she won't get her princess toes wet, I doubt she'll ever jump into the tub with Jules.

PB&J

The first peanut butter and jelly sandwich. A true milestone. I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to offer this classic up for dinner. Maybe because I work in a freakazoid "peanut free" zone so I'm constantly reminded how whacked out everyone is about peanut allergies. Anyways. Julia loves nuts for snacks, so I figured it was safe to take the plunge into pb&j sandwiches. It went well. As seen here. Although... the next day was weird. She had the remaining half of her sandwich in her lunch. All went well. But when Daddy picked up Julia to take her home, this defiant little demon showed up, stole our daughter, and completely went limp into the most giant of tantrums. Brian said he was afraid of scaring the other little girls. Julia apparently exhausted herself so that she literally konked out in the car, got carried inside to the couch and slept for a good 30 minutes. Needless to say, I arrived home to deal with the aftermath and she never really recovered. I...
