A birthday for Julia

We celebrated several times. Once with Dee Dee and Pop Pop. Once with Mommy and Daddy. Once with the all the Frats. We're about done with cupcakes for a good week or so now. It was a happy birthday for Julia though.

Two, going on 15

Can't believe she's TWO. I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. What I was wearing, how my neighbor kept telling me to eat spicy foods, driving to the hospital at 11pm, frantic because I had NO idea what I was in for. But it's all good. Look at this peanut. How can you do anything but love that face? (And thanks to Ponka for letting me play with his camera. I never would have gotten this shot without it).

Time Out

I don't really like the term "time out". I think the whole premise is kind of strange with regards to kids. But I can't think of a better title for this post because mommy and daddy really needed a REAL time out. Defined as a brief suspension of activity; intermission or break, it is just what we needed. A bit of R&R. So, we fled to Virgin Gorda. Unfortunately, we had to come back. It was hard, what a beautiful spot in the world.

Green thumb chores

Are kids ever too young to start assigning chores? Here, I have assigned Julia the task of watering the plants. She even carried the gigantic watering can from the hose all the way over to the plants. She'll have Nana's green thumb in no time.

April Showers

Sometimes on rainy days, we like to draw a lot. It's even better when we get to wear hats. Like my princess hat. It's actually Bella's, but she doesn't like wearing it. It's a good thing big sisters are around to borrow their clothes. Thanks, Bella.

The apple tree

There is a basketball court in the Y where we go to work out and swim. For the first time, we took Jules there and let her run around. She had SO much fun. All she wanted to do was play basketball. And she loves all the big fitness balls too. Check her out running around. I keep hearing stories about how Brian was a freak for any type of ball. It seems more and more, that the apple has not fallen far from the tree.

Lost photos

I just downloaded the photos from my phone for the first time in months. I found this photo from October which made me giggle. Especially since now this vest is Julia's favorite accessory.
