Winter, get out.

Enough already. "I'm tired of coats and boots. And gloves. I'm ready for summer. And the pool!"

One last look

I promised many friends that we would document our renovation journey. I suppose this is the beginning. Readers, take note. We truthfully began the packing adventure before February even began. Thanks to government shutdowns and several snow days this fall and winter provided many opportunities for me to post on Craigslist, collect free boxes, and go through endless piles of "stuff". Here are some photos of how we lived at 404 East Mason for several years. Small rooms made a cozy home. Many people thought we were crazy to live in such a small space, but we love it. We love our house, our neighbors, our community, our closeness to the city, and what we have experienced in our adventure "crossing the river".

Happy TEN Bella!

Bella celebrated her tenth birthday! We made cupcakes and sang to her. Not sure she understood...but she did like the cupcake part. So did the other gals. So did I. We saved Bella right after we were married in July of 2004...it's been a crazy 10 years with that dog. Many dog beds and slippers later, she still wiggles her way into our bed some nights and refuses to ever step in a puddle. Such a lady.

Do you want to build a snowman?

A little help please

Biggest snow of the year. Twelve inches. I'll take it. Except that it was that super heavy wet snow. Brian was a trooper and shoveled once before the small second wave of ice came around. The girls were so enthralled watching them from the window. And when I say girls, I mean all three. They would have done just about anything to get outside with him.
