Is there anything better than sitting outside with your friends/babies and enjoying a nice spot of tea? The only things that would make it better are Mini Wheats and lemonade.

My latest crafty endeavor was this play tent for Julia. I sewed it all up, including the cute bunting and grosgrain trim. Hanging it from the 6' ceiling in our basement is not ideal. I haven't gotten it upstairs to her room yet where it should hang better. But you get the idea. A nice, safe haven to read books. In the privacy of her own tent. Next up: floor pillows.

Tomatoes are coming! Tomatoes are coming. Jules loves to eat the yellow tomatoes right off the vine. They sure are good. Eggplants and peppers are coming up next. We'll see how she likes those soon.

And this is how the first encounter with the sprinkler went. She ended up really liking it, but at first all she wanted to do was yell at the birds. Not sure what that is about. And Bella just sat there sunning the whole time like she was in heaven.

Sometimes it's nice to just stay cool inside, reading a book.

Julia has really taken to the camera. At the beach she spent lots of time taking photos. Barley was her favorite subject. And then baby.

Finally. The beach pictures. It's taken two weeks to get back into a groove after our beach trip. We had a great time. Beautiful weather. Nice and quiet. Great house. Very relaxing. Not at all restful. Each day went about like this: Bella wakes me up with the sun at about 5:30. Take Bella to the beach. Come back. Julia is awake. Breakfast. Take Julia to the beach. Come back. Play by the pool. Have snacks. Watch Incredibles. Ride bikes. Have lunch. Nap for Julia (and us). Run. Back to the beach. Back home. Finish Incredibles. Back to the beach. Go to the pool. Have dinner. Chase Barley and Bella around the house. Bathtime. Bedtime. Julia opens the door. Bedtime again. Julia opens the door. Bedtime again. Quiet time which typically resulted in us passing out on the couch. Wake up. Repeat. Here are some highlight photos.
