For Bella

Every year, Orvis, the outdoor catalog, has a photo contest for their "cover dogs". There are always some great entries. This year, a Weimie made the cut into the video, so I had to post it for everyone to see. There are some really amazing photos. So, this is for Bella. And all the other dog lovers out there who follow this blog. I hope it inspires you to pick up your camera and shoot your pooch so they may one day be a cover dog for Orvis.

Who cares if it's hot outside

I've got a hot pink chair inside. With my name on it. Literally. With my NAME ON IT.

Meanwhile...

This is what I come home to. I think I best invest in gray sheets.

The heat won't stop her

Even in this insatiable heat wave, we still make trips to the playground (for about 5 minutes. seriously.) I just started to take Julia there and she really loves the round and round thing. I, of course, sit on it with her and feel like I'm going to throw up after spinning so fast. But she likes it. And the swings, she really loves. I guess in this heat, that is one way to catch a breeze.

Babies

It's all about babies right now. Real babies. Babies in books. Baby dolls. Not sure how the switch went off, but it's baby season!

Have a seat

Stairs, boxes, chairs (if she can reach), dog beds. Julia loves to have a seat on anything her size. And she has figured out how to sit on Bella's bed, and then lay back (or roll around) and make herself extra comfortable. Here she is reclining while watching her signing video. She particularly likes to eat snacks on the first step of the staircase. Wood stairs must make snacks extra delicious.

New baby

This is our new baby. It's our little coffee station outside our kitchen. We bought the table at a really fun outing in Leesburg. Great antique stores...lots of fun. Very overwhelming. Coffee is our good friend. And now our breakfast nook is all set up to give us coffee all day and all night.

Grandma said

Grandma said that Mommy should make sure to take a couple of videos of Julia walking, because she's at the age when it's just really cute to watch. So, here they are. And, bonus! It was naked time!

Settling in

We're slowly settling in at home. There is still a little confusion over which bed belongs to whom.

Tub time

We are (mostly) settled in our new home and are enjoying everything about it. The bath tub is nice....it's deep and clean and Julia loves to splash around. I taught her how to blow bubbles at the pool last weekend and she's been doing it all the time in the tub. Hey, it's better than the time she was practicing in Bella's water bowl.
