Four months

Four months already. Even Nana just said the other day that it can't be. But it's true. And that meant the sad truth that it was time for me to go back to work. No more mid day snuggles. No more having a nice quiet three hours for me to surf Pinterest and Houzz over hot chocolate. Back to work. Which means back to chaos. To celebrate a great time off, we went out to a fancy brunch at Blacksalt. Awesome restaurant. Truly. We had had dinner there several months ago and decided to head back. Brian, I think, wanted an adult only night, but it's been hard to get a sitter for both girls. And bedtime is especially tricky. So we went to brunch and took them along. It was awwwesssooommmme. Beignets. Coffee. Benedict. Salad. (Why are salads made by other people so much better by the way? I'd eat salad if it was made for me all the time. Mine suck.) It was so good. If anyone is listening...Blacksalt for Mothers Day would be a dream come true. Until then, I'll sleep well remembering how nice it was to dine as a family of four. And we all sat at the table the entire time (that truly is a feat!). As a four month old, Schuyler is a great restaurant companion. She's starting to show interest in food too. Food other than her mom, that is.
